Laureato in Scienze Economiche, dottorando in Scienze Statistiche presso l'Università di Bologna, dove svolge anche attività di esercitatore di microeconomia. Ha lavorato come consulente per alcune società
private sui temi della sostenibilità e dello sviluppo locale: si occupa di economia ambientale, bioenergie e analisi dei prezzi delle commodities agroalimentari.
